The Bancroft FHO and Bancroft Community FHT is seeking additional family medicine physicians.

Physicians can enjoy a comprehensive rural family medicine practice which may include acute care inpatients, emergency medicine, flexible call, community medicine, clinics, house calls, and long term care. We have two preapproved vacant FHO positions.

Our team includes 8 Physicians, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and a variety of FHT Allied Health Professionals including a Diabetes Education Program, Respiratory Education Program, Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Rapid Access Addictions Medicine Program, Social Workers, and affiliated gym facility with Physiotherapy and Fitness Programs. We offer the opportunity to educate/mentor medical students and residents from Queen's University and the University of Ottawa.

Our community has a rural acute care hospital (QH-NH) that has eight inpatient beds. North Hastings Hospital is the smallest and most rural of the four hospitals which make up Quinte Health. The team includes highly trained and skilled nurses and support staff, and a brand NEW CT Scanner onsite. Located in the beautiful town of Bancroft in a health care campus which also includes a 110 bed long term care facility, a satellite dialysis clinic, public health office, CCAC, and Community Care North Hastings.

Local secondary level hospitals in Belleville and Peterborough offer excellent support to North Hastings. Belleville General Hospital offers 24 hour support from internal medicine, intensive care, general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, pediatrics, anesthesia, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, otolaryngology, and radiology. Tertiary care centres are located in Kingston, Toronto and Oshawa. 

In return for a five-year commitment to practice, medical students, residents and new graduates may be eligible for a financial support package of $150,000 from Hastings County. More information on the county incentive is available here:
