Additionally, we provide under-graduate and post-graduate teaching in affiliation with the Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia.

The successful candidate will have:

One year enhanced skills residency and acquired the Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Two year Royal College subspecialty in Palliative Medicine.

Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) is the largest of three regional hospitals in Fraser Health’s integrated network of care, providing primary, secondary, and tertiary services, including: Oncology unit, intensive care unit, hemodialysis unit, vascular surgery, and thoracic surgery. SMH is the second largest hospital in the province with the province's busiest Emergency Department.

Surrey is a rapidly growing city, and currently boasts over 568,000 residents. Surrey is Metro Vancouver's second largest municipality, and is known for its diverse culture—making it a sought-after place to live, work and play.

Remuneration is by service contract at a rate set provincially by the Ministry of Health.
