Job Opportunity: Full-Time General or Anatomical Pathologist Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), Barrie, Ontario

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is seeking a Full-Time General or Anatomical Pathologist to join our dedicated and collegial Department of Laboratory Medicine. The current pathologist team includes nine general and anatomical pathologists and two haematopathologists supported by five pathologist assistants.  This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a progressive, supportive, and expanding healthcare environment in one of Ontario’s fastest-growing communities.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time opportunity at a busy, well-respected regional community hospital including the Hudson Regional Cancer Centre.
• Provide a broad range of pathology services including surgical pathology and cytopathology; close to 30,000 annual surgical pathology accessions and 6000 cytopathology accessions.
• Subspecialty interest in Gynecological Pathology or Lymphoma Pathology would be a strong asset, but is not required
• Opportunities for leadership and professional growth within the department and hospital structure
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team and modern laboratory facilities
• Supportive of teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives 

Qualifications:

• FRCPC in Anatomical or General Pathology (or equivalent)
• Independent licensure (or eligibility) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
