Job Description
Aafiyat Medical Centre is seeking a qualified Internal Medicine Specialist (General Internist) to join its multidisciplinary medical clinics serving Brampton and Kitchener.
The successful candidate will provide consultative and longitudinal internal medicine care to adult patients in a community-based clinic setting. The role involves collaboration with family physicians and allied health professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
- Providing internal medicine consultations and follow-up care
- Prescribing medications and appropriate treatment plans
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic procedures
- Referring patients to subspecialists or for surgical care when appropriate
- Acting as a consultant to family physicians and other healthcare providers
- Supervising and reviewing laboratory and diagnostic findings
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record
The position is on-site at clinic locations in Brampton and Kitchener, or a combination of these locations. This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible scheduling based on clinic needs.
