LOCUM PALLIATIVE CARE PHYSICIAN – SOUTHLAKE HEALTH
Southlake Health is seeking a part-time Locum Palliative Care Physician to join our vibrant, diverse and supportive interdisciplinary team that includes 10 physicians on staff. Southlake has a unique continuity of care model in which the selected physician has the opportunity to work in multiple settings.
The position would involve 14-16 weeks of vacation coverage (full time during these weeks).
The selected candidate would support the team with inpatient consultations, outpatient clinics in the Magna Regional Cancer Centre (Pain & Symptom Management Clinic) and Aging Well Non-Malignant Palliative Care Clinic, MRP for our palliative care unit, and Margaret Bahen Hospice beds, as well as community home visits. We are a University of Toronto, Division of Palliative Care teaching site with Family Medicine Residents.
The successful candidate will be licensed to practice medicine in Ontario and have additional palliative medicine training and/or relevant experience. Remuneration will be under the fee-for-service model. The ideal start date would be October to November 2026; however, this is flexible depending on candidate availability. The position term is 10 months to start but with potential for renewal/further opportunities thereafter.
