Looking for a long term locum/replacement in the Ottawa region as I am planning for a sabbatical year abroad with my family from the mid/end of August 2025 for a period of 10-12 months. I am in a FHO practice (approximately 900-1000 patients), I could transfer the entire income for the year (100% of the salary+ shadow billing etc) for about 5 to 6 half-days per week including one 5-8pm after hours or one Saturday 9-12pm (once every 6 weeks). No on-call duty with local hospital is required (agreement with Montfort Hospital). This clinic is right at the border of what is considered rural Ottawa (25-30min drive) so qualifies for incentives (about 80k bonus over 4years) and for return of service for IMG.
If ever the physician is interested in working earlier (e.g. from June, July), there would be possibilities to work as a locum to cover vacation time for any of the 7 physicians working currently. Labs and imaging, pharmacy, physiotherapists and chiropractor are all in the building.
We have a great team and we value friendliness and team spirit, and are always interested in finding a new candidate who will like our team enough to perhaps even stay with us long term with his/her own roster after I return in July-August 2026.
