Family Practice opportunity for Meaford Hospital and the Meaford area Family Health Organization. The practices include Office plus ER and inpatients. Inpatient care is on a weekly rotation. ED shifts are 12 to 24 hours.

The Meaford Hospital site is part of Brightshores Health Systwm which operates six hospital sites. The level 2 referral centre is located in Owen Sound and includes a full range of specialists for consultations and state of the art diagnostics which include CT and MRI. Meaford hospital currently has 15 beds for inpatient care, has high seasonal volumes in its Emergency Department and performs over 1,000 in hospital procedures annually. This facility is a vital health care lifeline for residents and visitors to Meaford and the surrounding four season recreational area.

Family physicians practice in their own offices in Meaford or at the Don Bumstead Medical Centre, as well as the Blue Mountains Community Health Centre in Thornbury. The FHO group provides 24/7 Emergency Room coverage, in patient care, assists with in hospital procedures and look after two long term nursing care homes. Locum opportunities are available.
