The North Renfrew Family Health Team is looking to welcome Primary Care Physicians to their growing and highly dedicated team of medical professionals.

Situated along the Ottawa River, just two hours west of Ottawa and two hours east of North Bay, the North Renfrew Family Health Team (NRFHT) is located in the Town of Deep River. Our town has a population of 4000, with a catchment area of approximately 10,000+. Primary employers in our area include Canadian Nuclear Laboratories located in Chalk River, as well as Canadian Forces Garrison Petawawa. Deep River is an ideal place to call home and establish your practice if you are interested in enjoying the benefits of small town, rural living, while still close enough to big city amenities. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy activities throughout all seasons, everything from cycling, canoeing, boating, swimming, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, fishing and more.

The NRFHT provides access to a number of primary health care services including family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses, and allied professionals who work collaboratively and are committed to providing patient-centered care. The NRFHT has an experienced administrative staff and offers no physician overhead, making it the perfect turnkey practice for a physician, especially a new graduate. The FHT utilizes Telus PS Suite EMR with the ability to provide virtual care services as needed. This opportunity is eligible for the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Grant (NRRR) – ROI of 70.

The NRFHT is located within the Deep River & District Health Campus (offering a variety of quality, on-site services available to patients including x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, and laboratory services). In addition to opportunities within primary care, the option to work within the Emergency Department, provide care to inpatients within a Hospitalist model rotation, or care to the residents of the Four Seasons Lodge Long-Term Care, are available.
