Rainy River Health Centre has a full-service Emergency Department offering 24-hour care on a daily basis. 64 slice high resolution CT scanner 90 kms east in Fort Frances. Rainy River Health Centre has 3 Acute Care beds and 21 LTC and a Physician Clinic. Full time anesthesia and surgical coverage available in Fort Frances, La Verendrye Hospital 90 km west of Rainy River. One physician is responsible for ER, Inpatients.

ER Shifts and Clinic Hours

Regular rate $183/hr ER/Hospital

There are several options for Full Time: Split coverage for 2 Physicians, 2 Physicians would collectively share the combined ER/Hospital/Clinic/LTC responsibility with 1 Physician/ Locum receiving Clinic rate and the other receiving ER rate. Responding to nursing concerns and managing routine and urgent issues as needed. Review and manage diagnostic reports for investigations ordered by preceding locums. Rainy River Clinic is Monday to Friday, flexible hours. Full Time physicians can provide ER only or Clinic only, or choose to cover the combined ER/Hospital and Clinic. To qualifying family physicians, the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRRI), provides $132,000 incentive over four years.
