A FHO-FHT group physician in downtown Hamilton is looking for a locum physician. The successful candidate will provide coverage for:

o  Monday September 15th all day

o  Wednesday September 17th all day

o  Thursday September 18th all day

o  Friday September 19th morning only

o  Thursday September 25th all day

o  Thursday October 2nd all day

o  Wednesday October 8th morning only

We also have on-going casual opportunities throughout the year.

Southwest Family Health is an organized, well-equipped group practice located in downtown Hamilton just steps away from St. Joseph’s Hospital. Part of the Core Family Health Organization, this 22 physician FHO is also part of the larger 165+ physician Hamilton Family Health Team.

This practice group receives extensive support from a psychiatrist as well as numerous Allied Health Professionals including Nurses (3 RNs & 1 RPN), a dietician, two mental health counselors, and a clinical pharmacist. The practice is fully electronic and utilizes Pomelo’s Health Myself for patient bookings/secure messaging, Ocean eReferral for referrals, and TELUS PS Suite EMR for patient records. A team of four office staff and a Practice Manager also provide full administrative support for bookings, billings, and referrals.

The location provides a total of nine exam rooms that are shared by the group plus additional rooms for Allied Health Professionals, 2 Nursing stations, and a private office. The practice is also located in a healthcare setting alongside a pharmacy and x-ray/ultrasound clinic.
