12-Month Locum Opportunity in FHO/FHT Group Practice

A member of a 3-physician group practice on the Hamilton Mountain is seeking a locum to cover her practice for 3 days per week for 12 months, starting July 2026. The ideal candidate will be available three days per week, with a preference for someone who can cover Fridays. With a well-managed roster of approximately 1,100 patients, the successful candidate can expect to see between 15-20 patients per day. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a well-supported environment and who enjoys managing a roster with a high percentage of women and children.

As part of a large 22-member FHO and the Hamilton Family Health Team, this practice is supported by a variety of allied health professionals including two nurses, a mental health counsellor, a registered dietitian, and a clinical pharmacist. The practice also receives administrative support from 2 administrative staff. The practice is located in the same building as the Hamilton Family Health Team and as a result HFHT Psychiatry and Physiotherapy is on-site and using the same EMR as the practice.

The practice uses Telus PS EMR, and the locum will have access to 1-3 exam rooms depending on the day and a shared office (with a private workstation). This large and newly renovated space also includes nursing stations, a lunchroom and meeting area, and free parking for both staff and patients. 

The practice and will provide the locum with a competitive stipend for their work.
