3-Month Locum Opportunity in FHO/FHT Practice

A physician in a solo FHO/FHT practice, co-located with two other physicians, is looking for locum support for three months, September-November 2025. The ideal candidate will start August 25th to be able to spend a week with the physician to learn more about the daily routine of the practice.

During the three months, the locum can expect to work 3 or 3-1/2 days per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and optional Friday mornings. Office hours are 8:30-5:00PM, and while seeing patients between 8:45-4:30PM, the locum can expect to see ~25 patients per day. Should the candidate be interested, there is opportunity to also provide LTC coverage to two locations within the Hamilton area. After-hour coverage is not required.

Working within a high-functioning team to support a roster of 1,700 patients, the locum will be supported by a receptionist and an RN as well as FHT supports including a Registered Dietitian, Mental Health Counsellor, Pharmacist, Psychiatrist and COPD specialist. The office has 3 exam rooms, a private office, a kitchenette and free parking. The office uses Telus PS EMR and Ocean for eReferrals.

The successful candidate can expect a competitive daily stipend.
