ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Surgical Services Perioperative Program of NL Health Services – Eastern Rural Zone invites expressions of interest for one (1) full-time Locum Anesthesiologist at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, NL. The effective dates for this locum are May 21, 2026 to May 21, 2027.
The successful candidate will function as a key member of the surgical team, responsible for the provision of anesthetic services to surgical patients in an acute care setting. Direct involvement in patient care pre- and post-operatively is required, including responsibility for pre-admission anesthesia clinics and post-operative pain management. The successful candidate will also be expected to administer epidurals and spinals to labor and delivery patients and participate in an equitable on-call schedule including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be willing to work in a team-based, patient-focused environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and continuous quality improvement.
