Health Sciences North (HSN) is a leading tertiary academic health sciences centre serving Northeastern Ontario in partnership with NOSM University. As part of its established Cardiology and Electrophysiology (EP) program, HSN is seeking a Cardiologist with fellowship training in Electrophysiology to join the team.

This role supports the delivery of comprehensive, high-acuity electrophysiology and arrhythmia care for patients across Northeastern Ontario. The successful candidate will join an experienced multidisciplinary team providing advanced cardiovascular services within a well-developed regional program committed to maintaining and enhancing access to EP care.

Clinical Responsibilities include:

• Inpatient and outpatient Electrophysiology consultation and longitudinal follow-up
• Participation in cardiology on-call rotation
• Simple and complex catheter ablation procedures (including atrial fibrillation, flutter, SVT, PVCs; ventricular tachycardia experience considered an asset)
• Cardiac implantable electronic device management, including implantation and follow-up (PPM, ICD, CRT, leadless systems, conduction system pacing, S-ICD)
• Collaboration with regional cardiology partners and multidisciplinary subspecialty teams
• Active involvement in quality improvement initiatives, clinical pathway development, and program expansion

Academic & Program Development:

• Teaching and academic engagement through NOSM University
• Eligibility for academic appointment and participation in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
• Opportunities for clinical research and innovation through the HSN Research Institute

Qualifications:

• Specialty certification in Cardiology with fellowship training in Electrophysiology
• Eligibility for licensure in Ontario
• Demonstrated experience in complex ablation and device-based therapies
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and academic engagement skills
