Job Description
Halton Healthcare is an award-winning healthcare organization comprised of three community hospitals and numerous community-based services in the growing rural and urban communities of Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville. Reflecting the communities we serve, we take pride in offering some of the finest technology and healthcare expertise available in Ontario. Our hospitals - Georgetown Hospital, Milton District Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital - are a part of Halton's rich history and have a long-standing tradition of providing quality care to many generations of area families. Together, we serve a population of almost 400,000 residents.

As a Board-appointed member of the Medical Advisory Committee, the Chief monitors and manages physician performance with respect to skills, behaviour, and resource utilization. The Chief continues to enhance a culture of collegiality and collaboration by partnering with clinicians, teams, stakeholders and leaders to ensure optimal team performance and high-quality care. In alignment with the Clinical Service Plan, the Department Chief is responsible for developing the Professional Staff Human Resources Plan with the support of the Medical Staff Office.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Surgeon with strong clinical expertise, exceptional leadership abilities and a demonstrated ability to coordinate high-quality care across multiple hospital sites. They will have a forward-thinking approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for enhancing care delivery for the communities Halton Healthcare serves.
