Job Description

Wiarton is seeking Emergency Department locum/FT/PT physicians to join our Family Health Organization (FHO) group and provide ED care at Brightshores - Wiarton Hospital. The ED operates with single-physician coverage and manages approximately 15,000 visits per year.

Shifts are 12 or 24 hour (8-8)

Remuneration is ED AFA payment; shadow billings, FFS remuneration for after-hours acute inpatient coverage. The ED physician also provides after hours coverage for acute inpatient issues. Backup support is always available when patient acuity, transport requirements, or volume necessitates a second physician.

Flexible locum arrangements are available including: ED-only coverage; hospitalist work; office clinic coverage; or a mixed practice model.
