Key Responsibilities

As a Family Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. Your key tasks will include:

1. Patient Care
- Conducting thorough physical examinations and health assessments.
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses.
- Developing individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribing medications and therapies.
- Providing preventive care, including vaccinations and health education.
- Coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals.

2. Medical Records Management
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Documenting patient history, treatments, and progress notes.
- Ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

3. Patient Education and Counseling
- Educating patients on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
- Offering counseling on mental health and addiction issues.
- Providing family planning and reproductive health advice.

4. Collaboration and Referral
- Collaborating with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Referring patients to appropriate specialists when necessary.

5. Continuous Improvement and Professional Development
- Participating in continuous medical education and professional development activities.
- Staying updated with the latest medical research and advancements.
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Qualifications and Credentials

To be considered for the position of Family Physician, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

1. Educational Background
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine.

2. Licensing and Certification
- Valid license to practice medicine in the province of Ontario.
- Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). -Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC).
- Maintenance of current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

3. Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a family medicine or primary care setting (specify number of years based on requirements).

4. Skills and Abilities
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
