Position Type: Fee for service

Wage Rate: Compensation is fee-for-service and Emergency Department coverage stipends as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates.

Position Summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide temporary physician relief services in multiple locations within the region.  Duties to include:  performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health.  The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.

Credentials

• The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree
• Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
• Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance

•     Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.

•     All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
