Family Physician – FHO Opportunity at EPICare Medical
Location: Waterdown, Ontario | Permanent | Full-Time or Part-Time

EPICare Medical is a modern, technology-forward clinic that’s part of a 5-physician Family Health Organization (FHO). We are currently recruiting a family physician to join our second FHO site—an independently run, fully supported location in the vibrant and growing community of Waterdown (just minutes from Hamilton and Burlington).

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care across all ages

• Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and health promotion

• Perform minor procedures (e.g., lesion removal, ear syringing, joint injections)

• Offer virtual care where appropriate using secure platforms

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation within the EMR

• Collaborate with allied health providers to enhance care coordination

• Participate in quality improvement and community health initiatives

• Stay current through CME and evidence-based practice standards

Requirements:

• Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

• Active registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

• Strong interest in efficiency, digital tools, and optimizing the patient journey

• English proficiency required; additional languages are a valued asset

Compensation & Overhead:

• Blended capitation model through OHIP as part of FHO enrolment

• Income stabilization available for the first 12 months for eligible new grads or transitioning physicians

• Competitive overhead split covering full administrative and clinical support services

• Option to join the clinic’s group benefits plan or arrange independent coverage through the OMA or preferred provider
