Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is looking for a Full-Time Gastroenterologist.

CMH has recently completed a Capital Redevelopment Plan (CRP), with significant expansion of hospital services. As part of this CRP, CMH has an expanding Division Gastroenterology Division. This expansion included developing and providing a Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) program for the Waterloo Wellington region in 2022, with full support of our regional partner hospitals. In 2024-2025, this program performed almost 500 EUS procedures. CMH is seeking a gastroenterologist to help expand this EUS program, in conjunction with other EUS experts in the region. The candidate should have completed a formal 1 year EUS fellowship training program. Expertise in other areas of therapeutic endoscopy will be supported, including access to ERCP if desired.

The Cambridge Memorial Hospital facilities include 3 endoscopy suites operating 5 days a week.

CMH currently has 5 gastroenterologists, an internist/hepatologist in the GI Division. While EUS is the primary focus of this position, the candidate should be comfortable with general GI practice in a community setting. Other areas of therapeutic endoscopy can be explored depending on training and expertise.

Applicants must be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have an independent practice license or eligible for same. Certification or eligibility for certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons is also required.

On call requirements will be in GI only.
