General Internal Medicine Specialist– Georgetown Hospital Site

Halton Healthcare, Georgetown Hospital Site, is seeking Internal Medicine Specialists.  Georgetown, located 60 km west of Toronto, is a beautiful, welcoming and fast-growing young community with some of the region’s best amenities for families. Georgetown Hospital is one of the 3 sites of Halton Healthcare, and serves the community of Georgetown, Acton, and surrounding areas, with ~42,000 ER visits/year.

Georgetown hospital has a positive, collegial, dynamic and quality-focused physician culture, where our Internist work closely with Hospitalist and other specialty teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

·      Providing GIM consults on inpatients

·      Serving as MRP for Level 2 ICU inpatients

·      Covering Post Discharge Clinic

·      Participating in on-call coverage for GIM at 1:10

·      Minimum commitment of 6 weeks of coverage per year.

·      Day time schedule - one week (Monday to Sunday) at a time. Potential role for locums prior to start.

·      There may be opportunities for stress tests, pulmonary function tests and GIM admissionist roles.

  Qualifications:

·      Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills and an interest in clinical care

·      CPSO Independent registration, with or eligibility for FRCPC (Internal Medicine)
