Job Description

Alberta Health Services - North Zone, and the community of St Paul are currently looking to recruit a General Internal Medicine Visiting Specialist to work alongside the local physicians and provide services in Internal Medicine. The ideal candidate will visit the community approximately 24 times per year (2-4 days per visit).

The successful candidate is required to offer services within the St Therese Healthcare Centre .

This position will require the selected candidate to sign a Visiting Specialist contract rendering their services.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the Services.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.
  • Current Alberta Practice Permit to practice in the advertised position (proof of to be included with application).
  • Have certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC).
  • Recent and relevant experience in all areas of practice required, as Most Responsible Physician.
