Hospitalist Locum Opportunities
Sault Ste. Marie is a vibrant and friendly community like no other providing a mix of urban and natural amenities that offer an adventurous lifestyle in the heart of the Great Lakes
Opportunity
à Sault Area Hospital, a 293 bed facility, is seeking a Hospitalist to cover medicine services. Hospitalists will have a list of rostered patients for the duration of your locum. Patient numbers are typically around 15-17 patients but can vary. Call coverage incorporated in 1 in 4 rotation.
à Affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) provides the opportunity to teach residents and medical students. Faculty appointments are encouraged. Research is supported by the Sault Ste. Marie Academic Medical Association.
à Daily flights from Air Canada and Porter for ease of transportation. 1 hr flights from Toronto.
License & Eligibility
à Candidates must hold an independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Remuneration
Remuneration is attractive and competitive:
à Expense reimbursement through the OH NSLP program including car rental (or mileage for personal use), accommodations, airfare (or mileage) and parking.
à Daily $300 honorarium for work and travel
à Attractice daily stipends from Sault area Hospital
