Job Description
The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta, in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS) in Edmonton, Alberta invites applications for the role of Locum Anesthesiologist.
This is a temporary position based primarily at the University of Alberta Hospital, a tertiary level trauma and transplant centre.
The Department of Anesthesiology team includes physicians, scientists, educators and allied health professionals and is a major referral centre for Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. In Edmonton, the Anesthesiology group provides services to patients at the Cross Cancer Institute, Grey Nuns Community Hospital, Leduc Community Hospital, Misericordia Community Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Stollery Children’s Hospital, Sturgeon Community Hospital and the University of Alberta Hospital.
This position is not sponsorship eligible.
Job Requirements:
The successful applicants shall have certification in Anesthesiology with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Specialist expertise in regional, acute pain, liver transplant, neuro, vascular, obstetric and cardiac is considered an asset, as are interests in administration, education and research.
