Cornwall Community Hospital is seeking a locum Anesthesiologist to join our team of five full-time collegial Anesthesiologists, working in a supportive, relaxed, and varied setting.  Additionally, the team has a full time Anesthesia Assistant who greatly increases our OR efficiency.

Cornwall Community Hospital is a 170 bed acute care hospital, and we provide surgical services in the specialties of Orthopedics, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Endoscopy, Pediatric Dental Surgery, Urology, and Ophthalmology.   We enjoy good support from our Intensivist colleagues in a 12 bed ICU, as well as from an Internal Medicine preoperative optimization clinic.

Cornwall has an exceptional location on the shores of the St Lawrence River. The city is located about one hour’s drive from both Ottawa and Montreal as well as being minutes away from the US border. Many doctors in our community commute from Ottawa and Montreal daily. Cornwall has a VIA Rail station with easy access to major Canadian cities with Toronto being about 3.5 hours away by train.

On call stipends (HOCC payments) are provided for call shifts. 

Candidates would be required to have an Independent license with the CPSO.
