Job Description:

NBRHC is seeking locum GP's with advanced training and certification in anaesthesia to provide procedural deep sedation to its busy endoscopy suite, averaging 12-14 cases per day / per room assignment.

Locums are required for up to three days (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) each week of assignment

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants will posses:

•  A family medicine CCFP designation with a certificate of added competence in anaesthesia  
• Licensure to practice GP anaesthesia independently in Ontario

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles: providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral center providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it is the specialized mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. NBRHC is a 433 bed hospital with acute care services including a 24/7 emergency department, 8 theatre OR, 13 bed PACU, endoscopy suite, ophthalmology suite, labour & delivery suite and a 16 bed CCU.

Remuneration:

This position will be remunerated with fee for service OHIP billings. Our locums are HealthForce Ontario NSLP funded (respite + honourarium coverage) which includes a daily honorarium of $363, travel sessionals, as well as travel and accommodation expense reimbursement in line with NSLP guidelines.
