Job Description: The successful applicant will join our current Respirologist in providing inpatient consultations, bronchoscopy services, pulmonary function testing and participation in the Breathing Clinic. Call duties for the Internal Medicine inpatient consult service will be shared with our group of 10 active staff, comprised of both General Internists and subspecialists (including Cardiology, GI, Nephrology, Endocrinology and our other Respirologist).

Our Organization: The North Bay Regional Health Centre, constructed in 2011, is a 480 bed health care organization with acute care services including a 24/7 emergency department, 16 bed Critical Care Unit, inpatient adult and pediatric medicine, dialysis, endoscopy and bronchoscopy services, obstetrics, pathology and surgical subspecialties to the surrounding catchment areas of Mattawa, West Nipissing and Temiskaming. On-site diagnostic imaging services include x-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography, MRI, bone densometry and nuclear medicine.

Qualifications: Qualified applicants will have licensure to practice independently in Ontario and a standing Respirology fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (2 doses) is also required.
