Located approximately 50 km west of Toronto, the Georgetown Hospital is a 72-bed community hospital boasting a 14,000 square foot Emergency Department with 34,000 annual visits. There is an on-site CT scanner, two Operating Room suites, and one Endoscopy suite. Services include acute medical, surgical, and complex transitional care.

Georgetown Hospital has a Level 1B Nursery which has approximately 600 deliveries annually. Their Obstetrical unit has dedicated nursing staff, 24/7 access to epidurals, C-sections, and in-house RT. 

Halton Healthcare is seeking an Obstetrician / Gynecologist to join their dedicated and collegial group at the Georgetown Hospital site. Professional Staff at Halton Healthcare are privileged at all 3 of their sites and may share responsibilities and resources at more than 1 site in some circumstances. 

Qualified candidates will possess, or be eligible for, FRCSC certification or equivalent in Obstetrics / Gynecology and hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. CPSO pathway licensure is easily available for US Board Certified Surgeons with new regulations implemented in 2023 that have created a straight forward licensure process without the requirement for supervision.
