Job Description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is seeking locums to fill on-call schedule gaps.
The Timmins and District Hospital is a 215-bed district hospital serving a local population of 41,000 and a catchment area of 110,000. Timmins is located in Northeastern Ontario, and is a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Long Term Care, and Mental Health Services.
The department has a Level II nursery, with approximately 600 annual deliveries. The hospital also staffs on-call Pediatricians and provides excellent access to diagnostics.
Total remuneration is $2,422 per day. Remuneration is a combination of NSLP’s daily minimum on-call sessional ($1,669/day), daily honorariums ($363/day), TADH on-call daily stipend ($390/day).
Your traveling expenses of airfare and/or mileage, local car rental, accommodations, and a travel stipend will be covered.
Position Requirements
Candidates must:
- have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- be licensed to practice as an OB/GYN in the Province of Ontario.
- have Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage.
- have an independent practice license with the CPSO.
- have an active OHIP billing number.
- possess excellent clinical skills.
- have a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
