Job Description
The community of Amherst is seeking a family physician to join their team of experienced nurses and social workers at the Recovery Support Centre and Opiate Recovery Program in a 0.4 FTE position.

Responsibilities
- provide support to clients receiving care as part of the Opiate Recovery Program
Expected Hours
- 1/2-day clinics up to 3 times per week.
- it is suggested that physicians aim to see 25 patients per 1/2-day clinic, although this is flexible and varies.
- Some flexibility in clinic days/times is available– weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, intermittent clinics.
- Some patients receiving care may require weekly follow up.
Remuneration
- This position is funded through an Alternative Payment Plan or APP, with deliverables agreement.
- Physicians holding a Certificate of Added Competence in Addiction Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada will qualify for higher renumeration as outlined in the Physician Agreement (2024-2027)
