The Sleep Disorders Clinic (SDC) offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services, including night time sleep studies and daytime tests. Sleep studies are offered in Hamilton, St Catharines and Cambridge Memorial Hospital, 7 nights per week. 

We are recognized leaders in Sleep Medicine and our Frid Street location in Hamilton is the offsite facility for the Sleep Medicine Fellowship Training program of McMaster University. 

Dr Raymond Gottschalk is our medical director and has mentored many physicians towards obtaining their credentials in sleep medicine.

Beyond advancing the next generation of sleep physicians, we are committed to leveraging technology to augment our teams and improve patient experience through best in class sleep diagnostics technology and leveraging digitization. 

SDC offices are fully staffed and managed, affording access to an existing patient base and steady incoming referral stream from our network of referring providers. Each office provides access to a sleep-customized EMR (Accuro cloud platform) and clinicians for virtual chart completion and follow-up of doctors orders.

How will you CONTRIBUTE?

You will provide specialist consultations and follow up appointments to patients being referred to SDC as well as provide interpretation of in-lab sleep studies. Patients will be seen either in-person at one of our locations or through video.    

You will work closely with patients to evaluate their medical and sleep history, perform physical examinations, order and interpret in-lab sleep studies or laboratory tests for diagnostic purposes, and prescribe medications as appropriate. 

You will also discuss treatment options and provide recommendations to the referring provider.

Are you a Match - Required Qualifications And Competencies

• Specialist physician in good standing, licensed to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in one of the following: Respirology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry. 
• Experience practicing sleep medicine. However we welcome specialists willing to expand their expertise and scope of practice to train in sleep medicine.
