Come work as a Staff Urologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a dedicated and collegial Urologist with subspecialty expertise in urologic oncology (kidney cancer focus) to join the University of British Columbia Department of Urologic Sciences at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), one of Canada’s leading academic hospitals. VGH combines adult community urology practice with the activities of a tertiary/quaternary referral centre. VGH is home to world-class clinical programs, advanced robotics, surgical innovation, basic science/translational research, and multidisciplinary teams.

Job Summary
As a Staff Urologist at VGH, you will:
• Provide specialized urologic care with a focus on testicular and kidney cancers, including complex oncologic and retroperitoneal surgery.
• Work within a high-volume tertiary referral practice and multidisciplinary cancer teams.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring through UBC’s Faculty of Medicine.
• Lead and develop an independent, externally competitive clinical and translational research program in testicular and kidney cancer, aligned with the associated UBC academic appointment.
• Participate in quality improvement and academic activities.

This position is intended for a clinician–scientist committed to building a sustained, high-impact research program alongside a busy academic surgical practice.

Remuneration is fee‑for‑service in accordance with provincial billing structures.
