Blended Capitation

Clinic billing: fee-for-service (FFS) or LFP payment model; LFP take-home pay per clinic day typically $1,200–$1,400. Clinic does not pay overhead. On-call billing currently FFS; new on-call billing option expected Summer 2025. Clinic receives daily on-call stipend (~$550 per 24-hour weekday; ~$800 per 24-hour weekend).

Fee-for-Service (physician billing)

Fee-for-Service (FFS) model: 30/70 split; LFP model: 25/75 split for full-time physicians; NTP contract accepted; signing bonus available for physicians on the LFP model who commit to full-time work; competitive cost-sharing and non-MSP services offered.

Combination model; proposed billing split 80/20; $10,000 clinic signing bonus for full-time; part-time signing bonus dependent on FTE.

$391,237.00 - $452,949.00; Contract. 4-step primary health care compensation grid for 220 (1.0 FTE) clinic days per year (number of on-call days is in addition).

Grid placement will be based on qualifications, training, and experience. • Annual Compensation is based on the contracted 210 Service days. • Note: The Oncologists are eligible for Additional Workload Compensation during the position’s vacancies in Cancer Care Alberta. Additional support from Cancer Care Alberta: CCA provides a recruitment support incentive that includes the following conditional on leadership approval: 1. Relocation Support: up to $18,500 for recruits within North America and up to $25,000 for recruits outside North America. 2. AHS Sponsorship Support if required. 3. Immigration (work permit visa support) if required. 4. Strategic recruitment Incentive.

Remuneration will depend on clinical experience and comply with the agreement between Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Medical Association. Compensation Grid Compensation range is between Level 1 $416,192 per annum to Level 3 $531,341 per annum. Medical Oncologists may be either AHS employees or independent contractors. Additional support from Cancer Care Alberta: CCA provides a recruitment support that includes the following conditional on leadership approval: 1. Relocation Support: up to $18,500 for recruits within North America and up to $25,000 for recruits outside North America. 2. AHS Sponsorship Support if required. 3.
