Remuneration for this position is based on the Academic Medicine & Health Services Program (AMHSP). Salary will commensurate with education and experience and ranges based on a number of different factors and can range between $300,000 to $800,000 per year. Total compensation for AMHSP varies by individual practitioner, and the compensation shown reflects the average amounts for this specialty as reported by Alberta Health.

Fee-for-service is 30/70 split (physician receives 70%). Split is negotiable based on experience and terms.

Compensation is based on a Fee-for-Service (FFS) model in accordance with the Alberta Health Schedule of Medical Benefits (SOMB). Based on available Alberta Health and AHCIP Statistical Supplement data, as well as provincial physician payment ranges: Estimated FFS Earnings Range: $130,000 - $730,000+ annually (gross clinical billings) Typical Average Gross Earnings (Cardiology, Alberta): Approximately $400,000 - $680,000 annually, depending on workload, subspecialty, and billings volume Note: Under the FFS model, physicians bill Alberta Health per service as outlined in the SOMB; therefore, total earnings vary significantly based on clinical activity, case mix, and practice structure Important Compensation Note Overhead structure (e.g., clinic expenses, staffing, billing costs, etc.) will be discussed with candidates during the interview process. All earnings listed represent gross billings prior to overhead and taxes.

FFS earnings $200,000-$500,000/year depending on experience and efficiencies.

Fee-for-Service (FFS) earnings (gross billings): $400,000 to $600,000 per year (range varies with workload, service mix, patient volume and experience). Note: The overhead structure will be discussed with shortlisted/interviewed candidates (overhead/split is negotiable and depends on the clinic arrangement).

FFS $300,000-$700,000 High-production FFS endocrinologists with large referral bases and efficient practices can bill in this range; some earnings even higher depending on workload and procedures

Daily guaranteed rate of $2,610.24; Saskatchewan Health Authority will cover flights, car rental and temporary accommodation.
