Job Description

Position Description:

The Moncton Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, is looking for Anatomical Pathologists available for full-time locum on a month-by-month basis starting on March 1st , 2026, until December 31st, 2026. The successful candidate will join a congenial group of eight anatomical pathologists and four other laboratory physicians.  

 

Remuneration is flat rate at C$36,094 per month (Canadian dollars).

Job Duties:

The successful candidate will cover surgical pathology (12 cases per day) and cytology (4 to 6 cases per day). No autopsy or frozen sections coverage will be requested. Our laboratory has an "open door" tradition to facilitate informal consultations between pathologists.

Remuneration for the position is based on New Brunswick Medicare’s Alternate Funding Plan (AFP)

Qualifications:

We require certification or fellowship in Anatomical Pathology or General Pathology of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or certification of the American Board of Pathology, or certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec. The candidate is expected to obtain a license to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick and maintain a liability insurance with the CMPA or equivalent.
