I would like to offer my FHO position upon my retirement. I work in a FHO comprised of 5 physicians plus one long term Locum. We are part of a FIT therefore have the services of an RN, NP, Pharmacist, an counsellors available to our patients. Our group of five physicians work in a cost sharing arrangement. My roster is comprised of approximately 1250 patients. The overhead is fixed- varying only when expenses are higher due to renovations etc. Our practice is located at the edge of the City of Ottawa city limits and we consider ourselves semi-rural. The community is mostly English speaking. There are opportunities for ER, hospital work, long term care, OR assist, and teaching with the University of Ottawa Medical School. We are a very collegial group who are supportive of each other. Our staff are fantastic. It's a great place to work.
