Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunities
Southlake Health is seeking Cardiac Anesthesiologists to join our dynamic and collaborative team of 32 anesthesiologists at one of Ontario’s leading regional referral centres.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-acuity, growing cardiac program while enjoying a diverse practice that can include general anesthesia and a mix of cardiac and non-cardiac cases.
A Practice with Variety, Complexity & Growth
• High-volume cardiac surgery, including coronary revascularization, complex valve and aortic surgery
• Comprehensive Structural Heart Program, including TAVI, mitral/tricuspid TEER and LAAO
• Intraoperative TEE opportunities, including structural heart cases
• CVICU coverage exclusively by cardiac anesthesiologists
• Broad general anesthesia exposure across thoracic, vascular, ENT, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, OB/GYN, plastics, EP, interventional cardiology, endoscopy and more
• Opportunities in Preoperative Assessment, Acute Pain Service and Block Room
• Supported by Anesthesia Assistants and a dedicated APS Nurse

Qualifications
• RCPSC certification in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for a CPSO Independent Practice Licence
• Cardiac anesthesia experience and/or fellowship training with NBE Certification in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography preferred
• Strong clinical, procedural, communication and teamwork skills
