Job Description

Description:

The individual will serve as a clinician-scientist Cardiac Electrophysiologist. They will be expected to perform electrophysiology clinical procedures 0.5–1 days per week and be in clinic one-half day per week. They will serve on one of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Inpatient Clinical Services (there are two based at Foothills) for 4–6 weeks per year. They will be on call for the Cardiac Electrophysiology Service 3–4 weeks per year.

They will follow patients through the Calgary Zone Cardiac Implantable Electrical Device Clinic and will have a general arrhythmia clinic. It is likely that their clinics will take place at South Health Campus.

The individual will contribute to the education of medical students (on the wards and in the research lab), as well as Medicine/Cardiology Residents and Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellows.
