Position Summary

Medpoint is seeking a Cardiologist licensed in Ontario to provide comprehensive cardiovascular assessment, diagnostic interpretation, risk stratification, and management for patients within our executive health and specialty referral programs.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, prevention-focused, and committed to delivering patient-centered cardiovascular care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular consultations and assessments
• Perform and interpret ECGs, stress testing, Holter monitoring, ambulatory BP monitoring, and echocardiography (where applicable)
• Provide risk assessment and preventive cardiology strategies
• Diagnose and manage hypertension, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and other cardiac conditions
• Deliver second opinions and advanced case reviews as part of our healthcare navigation model
• Provide timely consult reports to referring providers

Executive & Preventive Medicine

• Participate in executive medical assessments
• Identify early cardiovascular risk markers
• Develop evidence-based management and follow-up plans
• Collaborate with dietitians, kinesiologists, and other health professionals to implement lifestyle modification strategies

Collaboration & Navigation

• Work closely with Medpoint’s interdisciplinary team
• Assist in coordinating referrals to tertiary centers when needed
• Provide educational guidance to patients on cardiovascular risk reduction

Qualifications

• MD with Royal College certification in Cardiology (FRCPC)
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Hospital privileges (preferred but not mandatory)
• Strong interest in preventive and executive health medicine
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
