Opportunity for Colorectal Surgeon in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
Position Description:
The Department of Surgery has an opportunity for a full-time colorectal surgeon to join the team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Specific Skills:
The general surgeon will focus their practice on colorectal disease and contribute to the general surgery on-call coverage. Surgical oncologists with an interest in primary rectal cancer practice are encouraged to apply. Candidates with an interest in clinical program
development, teaching and research are desired. The candidate must be eligible for certi cation with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Remuneration & Incentives:
The income for this position is derived from a variety of sources including but not limited to clinical billings. On-call rotation is supported by a Hospital On-Call stipend.
The candidate can also apply for a $80,000+ recruitment incentive for working in Northwestern Ontario.The surgeon will receive an equitable share of the endoscopy, OR and ambulatory care resources that are available to the General Surgery group.
