Endocrinology

The Division of Endocrinology is seeking 2 Full Time Associate Endocrinologists one (1) for Brampton Civic Hospital & one (1) for Etobicoke General Hospital.

 The successful candidates will join a collaborative team in delivering full-time inpatient and outpatient endocrinology care and have access to an excellent diabetes education centre with a full range of nuclear medicine resources.  The Endocrinologists will participate as a member of the division in providing call coverage at one of the hospital sites and provide patient follow up in their community-based practice located in the Brampton Etobicoke Ontario Health Team (BE OHT) catchment area.  Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.

 Qualifications

The candidate must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario and have Fellowship in Endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. The position requires excellent communication skills in English.  Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.

 About the Program

The Endocrinology program has a robust of resources available to provide excellent endocrinology care in hospital and in the community.  We have a well-established diabetes education program and the ability to treat thyroid diseases with radioactive iodine. The Centre for Complex Diabetes Care located at Brampton Civic Hospital has a team of nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, and pharmacists to provide care to the most complex diabetes patients.
