Family Practice Obstetrics – South Bruce Grey Health Centre Walkerton (Family Physician) 

The Dr. R.J. Creighton Family Birthing Centre (FBC) supports over 400 deliveries per year. Our dedicated team of eight Family Physicians, two Midwifery groups, specially trained OB nurses, registered practical nurses, lactation consultants and social workers are here to support this process. There is 24/7 C-section coverage provided by three local General Surgeons as well as two Family Physicians with enhanced surgical skills. We are currently recruiting for another member to join our very colleageal team.  

The Family Birthing Center is located within the South Bruce Grey Health Centre Hospital (Walkerton site) providing a variety of opportunities for a general practice. This includes inpatient care in a 15 bed hospital, with visiting internal medicine support weekly. There is also a strong need for GP-anesthesia, and emergency care. Other opportunities include surgical assisting, palliative care, and LTC. You can build your practice the way you would like!

We are also recruiting for a family physician (or two!) for the Brockton & Area Family Health Organization. EMR is PS Suites on Apple computers. The FHO is associated with the Brockton & Kincardine Area and Family Health Team, with all allied health professionals just down the hall in a shared clinic space.

Locums are also available (both short and long term) to experience the clinic and the surrounding area. Walkerton (within the Municipality of Brockton) has a population of 10,000 people and is in a beautiful area of Bruce County along the Saugeen River. It is just a short drive to Lake Huron and to major urban centers.
