The Clinic is dedicated to serving priority populations which include new mothers and infants, recent immigrants and refugees, individuals with complex mental health needs as well as those experiencing homelessness. As an integral part of the Edmonds Centre for Healthy Communities you will benefit from the connection to the Burnaby PCN, which provides access to a variety of allied health services and community resources.

You will provide primary care services to a diverse patient population while working collaboratively within a team-based care model. The multidisciplinary team will include social workers, nurses, lactation consultants as well as a team of staff experienced in working with priority populations.

Qualifications:

Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
Experience or strong interest in working with vulnerable populations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care

SITE TYPE: Clinic, PCN Opportunity

Location:

A part of the Burnaby Edmonds Centre for Healthy Communities - Health and Wellness Services adjacent to the PCN Allied Health team and across from Fraser Health's UPCC and New Canadian Clinic.
Flexible hours; Clinic will be open: 9AM – 7PM with extended hours including half day on Saturdays.
Free parking available with parkade access on the same level as the clinic
Bike Racks: Available near the Centre’s entrance on the 3rd level of the parkade
Transit: Close to Edmonds SkyTrain Station and buses on Kingsway

Facilities:

8 exam rooms (including 1 with a bariatric bed and lift)
3 consult rooms
Touchdown space for clinicians

Contract Details:

Physicians will be contracted by Fraser Health (group contracts, not fee-for-service).
Service provision agreements with MOSAIC.
Remuneration: $203.00-$207.00 per hour
