We are seeking a General Neurologist with subspecialty expertise in Movement Disorders to provide neurology services at Royal Columbian Hospital and Eagle Ridge Hospital. The successful candidate will join an established group of general neurologists delivering inpatient neurology consultations and participating in regional on call coverage.

This role offers opportunities to participate in the Rapid Access Neurology Clinic (RAC) and to develop or join an established outpatient neurology practice.

There are also excellent opportunities to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education through the University of British Columbia. In addition, Simon Fraser University is preparing to launch a new medical school in Surrey, creating exciting future opportunities for those with an interest in medical education and academic involvement.

Qualifications:

-The candidate must be eligible for FRCPC registration in Neurology and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
-CPSBC Eligible for Full License, FRCPC Eligible

Royal Columbian Hospital is a tertiary provincial referral hospital located in New Westminster, BC. The site offers medical and surgical services, advanced diagnostics & imaging, interventional radiology, critical care, inpatient pediatrics, levels 1 & 3 obstetrics, neonatology/NICU, cardiac surgery, neurosciences, and other tertiary programs as well as 24/7 emergency services with approximately 80,000 visits annually

Eagle Ridge Hospital is a community hospital located in Port Moody, BC. The Emergency Department has recently undergone an extensive renovation and expansion. The site offers medical, surgical, rehabilitation, cardiac and diabetes outpatient programs, as well as 24/7 Emergency services with over 50,000 visits annually. Eagle Ridge hospital has robust hospitalist and internal medicine services which contribute to a collegial atmosphere.
