Job Description
Woodstock Hospital is looking to recruit one full-time Obstetrician and Gynecologist.
Woodstock Hospital currently has 178 beds and serves a catchment area of 110,000. We are an accredited with Exemplary Standing and have a state-of-the-art facility. Woodstock Hospital delivers approximately 1,100 babies each year. Woodstock Hospital is a Level 1B Hospital and will hopefully become a Level 2 Nursery with the start of our Pediatric program in 2022, to allow for a Special Care Nursery/Pediatric admissions with recruitment of Pediatricians.
The ideal candidate for the position must hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and have an independent license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required to provide care at Woodstock Hospital.
The successful candidate will become the fifth Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join the group at Woodstock Hospital. Call coverage will be 1 in 5 and an on-call premium is provided for on-call availability. Regular O.R. time will also be provided to the candidate.
