Job Description
Sensenbrenner Hospital is a modern, fully accredited 68-bed teaching hospital serving the community of Kapuskasing (population 8,600) and a regional catchment area of approximately 11,000. Located in the heart of Northern Ontario, Kapuskasing offers the charm of a close-knit community with the amenities of larger urban centres, all set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty—perfect for year-round outdoor recreation.
We are currently seeking a GP/Anesthetist or Anesthesiologist locum to join our supportive and collaborative team from December 13th at 8:00 PM to December 18th at 8:00 PM. The start time is flexible and can be adjusted to accommodate the physician’s availability.

About the Anesthesia Service
Our GP/Anesthetists work closely with our surgical team to provide anesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures. You will be supported by an experienced and collaborative medical team in a modern rural hospital setting.
Convenient Housing
Locums have access to fully furnished apartments, when available, in a newly constructed building located directly across from the hospital. Accommodation costs are reimbursed through NSLP in accordance with program guidelines.
Travel
Locums typically fly into Timmins Airport, followed by approximately a 2-hour drive northwest to Kapuskasing. Travel and travel time are reimbursed as per NSLP guidelines.
