Quinte Health is seeking one or two well-diversified full-time/permanent general radiologists to join the Department of Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and its team of 13 radiologists.

Core services include general radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and basic interventional radiology. Breast imaging is also provided as a service and would be open to candidates with appropriate training and experience.  Ability to perform non-vascular interventional procedures such as percutaneous abscess drainage would be an asset. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario. Fellowship training would also be an asset.

Rotating coverage includes off-site home reporting. The primary location is Belleville General Hospital, which lies between the beautiful Counties of Hastings and the vineyard region of Prince Edward County. On-site presence is also provided at Trenton Memorial Hospital.

Quinte Health is a family of four hospitals—Belleville General Hospital, North Hastings Hospital, Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital and Trenton Memorial Hospital—that are working to “Create Healthier Communities. Together”.

The team of 2,600 staff and physicians provide care through four emergency departments, operating rooms at three hospitals, a rehabilitation day hospital, ambulatory care clinics, and a range of diagnostic services. There are more than 335 inpatient beds for acute medical patients, intensive care, obstetrics, paediatrics, mental health, complex continuing care, rehabilitation, and surgery. In addition, Quinte Health is proud to operate the Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre, community mental health programs, and to be a member of the Hastings Prince Edward Ontario Health Team.

An upgraded 1.5T MRI scanner is present at the Belleville site as well as 3 CT scanners in the Belleville, Trenton, and North Hastings (NEW in 2024) sites.  Radiography and ultrasound are provided at all 4 sites.  

The Quinte area includes some of the most diverse and beautiful countryside in Ontario. From the lakes of Bancroft down to the wine country, picturesque towns, and Sandbanks Provincial Park of Prince Edward County, and through the more urban Belleville/Quinte West/Brighton corridor alongside Lake Ontario, nearly every lifestyle interest can be found within the communities served by Quinte Health. The region offers low cost of living, affordable homes, and excellent schools as well as quality local theatre, shopping, and restaurants. Belleville and Quinte West are located along the highway 401 corridor, and Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Kingston are all easy driving distance.

The preferred start-date is July 1, 2025; however, the date is flexible.
