Job Description
General Surgeon - Full-Time
Brockville General Hospital, a 172-bed hospital with a catchment area of 250,000, seeks general surgeons interested in covering acute care surgery on a full-time basis. Responsibilities include providing on call coverage for up to a week.

The General Surgeons provide comprehensive general surgery services within the hospital with clinical responsibilities including pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operative care, performance and supervision of surgical procedures, inpatient and Emergency Department consultations, and collaboration with nursing, allied health professionals, and other physicians.
Practice Profile
- Week-long on call schedule of Monday 8:00 am to Monday 8:00 am
- 5 ORs and 1 Endo Suite
- EMR (Cerner) with remote access / CT
- Collaborative and collegial team and work culture
Renumeration
- Fee for Service plus HOCC
Qualifications
- Independent registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification
