Join a collaborative mental health team of social workers, therapists and outreach nurses as well as community general practitioners committed to developing innovative approaches to meet needs for psychiatric services across the lifespan.

Our primary shared goals include meeting community needs using innovative integrated care models, and collaborating with family practitioners to develop and implement a patient medical home model, consistent and aligned with the IHA Mental Health and Substance Use Program and with Ministry and Government priorities. The successful candidate, in collaboration with local family practitioners, will provide urgent consultative support to the Kootenay Lake Hospital (KLH)medical/surgical units and emergency department.

KLH is a 30-bed community hospital providing high quality health care services to residents and visitors of Nelson and the surrounding area of approximately 28,000 people.

For interested candidates, there may also be an opportunity to participate in providing regional call services to Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail.
