Job Description
The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Emergency Department is currently accepting applications for LOCUM emergency physicians. The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital is a level 3 Regional Trauma referral centre averaging 39,000 emergency visits per year with a catchment area of 110,000 in Southeastern Alberta. The Emergency Department offers 24-hour service with 11 full and part-time Emergency Physicians.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- 6-9 hour shifts in duration
- Dual physician coverage during the day
- Respond to in-hospital code blue
- Full-service emergency care including trauma and resuscitation
- CCFP-EM / RCPSC is required
The successful applicant shall be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
CCFP-EM (Canadian College of Family Physicians – Emergency Medicine) or RCPSC (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) is required.
Current ACLS, ATLS.
PALS is recommended.
